'96 flasher, blinkers, and brake lights.
I have 2 xjs. '00 and 96. My blinkers recently stopped working, Hazzard also. When I got to the house realized my brake lights too. I chased wires, changed relays, switches, etc. I ran a fusable link from the empty #8 to the pink wire on my brake switch, and everything is working. My question is, what should I check to fix it without the band-aid fix. The 96 is a strange monkey. It has stuff pre 96, and a fuse box under the hood from 97+. It's really hard finding info on it. Any help would be appreciated. I searched the forum before asking. Maybe a link to a thread would help as well.

Trace the dead pink wire back to the hazard switch. On a '96, constant hot feeds the hazard switch first, then goes to the brake switch and flashers. If the hazard switch has no power on the red wire, the feed from the fuse box is broken. If it has power, the hazard switch or turn signal switch contacts are shot. Your jumper just bypassed the whole thing.
