96 electrical

i have a 96 cherokee 4.0, i blew the motor, i pulled a 4.0 out of 97 grand cherokee to put in the 96 cherokee, now none of the wiring connections match, would i put a 97 wiring in the 96 to match the motor year, or can i put in 96 wiring to match the jeep the motor is going into, or is it going to take something else? I would appreciate any help/suggestions

swapping all the part with connection from the 96 to the 97 i think would be the easy way

i do not have the 96 motor anymore, i junked it

you need everything from the 96 motor... either buy new or go to the junkyard....

thanks guys i found a 94 cherokee with same motor, do you think I can switch connections from 94 4.0 to the 97 4.0, the 97 4.0 is what i put in the 96 cherokee that i blew the motor up in? the 97 4.0 came out of the 97 grand cherokee
