I'm new to jeepin'. I got a 96 cherokee classic and I want to hook up a hitch. problem is where I hook the hitch upto the frame is enclosed and there is no way i can get the nut inside to secure the bolts i want to feed through. im wonderin if anybodies faced this problem before and how theyve hooked one up.
Thanks.

They're call nut strips. The nuts are secured to a strip of metal and the whole thing is slid into the frame at the opening behind the bumper brackets.
They usually come with the hitch, another type is carriage bolts with square spacers you fish in with a wire

Hope this link works. If not just go to jcroffroad.com and look under Cherokee misc. http://www.jcroffroad.com/Merchant2/...ry_Code=XJMISC
