Long story short: battery went bad, then alternator. Replaced battery then alternator about a week later. During that time it began jumping gears. I could be doing 55 on the highway and have it jump from 5th to 4th and 3rd and back again or I could be in town and have it jump from 2nd to 3rd and vice versa. When accelerating from a red light it also shifts into second and gets "stuck" just past 2000rmps. Eventually it shifts into 3rd but it takes way too long to shift from 2nd to 3rd. Occasionally when all of this happens, my generator light will come on (on a tested "good" battery and alternator). It has been happening less and less often but its still an issue. And the confusing part is that it doesn't do this every time I drive the vehicle...usually about 1 in every 10 drives.

I've talked with a few people and I've gotten answers from a bad serpentine belt to broken vacuum lines. I'm new to the Jeep community and also not very good with vehicles so I'm hoping I can get some help...I'm hoping its a quick and easy fix and that I won't have to take it to a shop. I'd really appreciate your help.
