96 4.0l 6cyl starting issue & shift indicator is off?

96 4.0l 6cyl starting issue & shift indicator is off?
to start, i'm new to the forum.
my jeep likes to start sometimes and then it doesnt. worked for weeks then it seems like every 10 key turns it starts. starter is good, i can still jump the solenoid.
i DO have a new NSS to install, new fuel pump installed as well. is it my NSS?
also, when in reverse my indicator is on park, drive is neutral, so on and so forth. what could it be?
