95 xj wiring hell..

Hello, i recently purchased a 1995 jeep cherokee. and its pretty much all stock. except the head visor.... and i bought a radio from my local walmart and me and my ego.. i took out my old radio and cut the wire right behind the clip from the old radio.. so now i cant use a wiring harness. i am forced to wire the one that came in the new radio to the older wires. but the colors dont match. could someone give me and easy to follow color coded instuctions on how to install such a mess ive made.. THANK YOU!!!!!

Usually the pwr cable is red and the negative (gnd) is black. There should also be an additional pwr cable giving you 12 volts constantly for the memory in your radio. To see where each speaker wire leads, just take a 1.5 battery and connect one end of the wire to the pos end of the battery and the second wire to the neg end of the battery. The speaker will than produce a small noice. Hope this will help. Leon in Iceland
