Can someone please tell me what size the speakers are in the lower dash panel for a 95 XJ SE? I have installed a new stereo in the jeep and will be replacing the door speakers too but I’d like to add speakers to the dash since the wiring is already there. Problem is 3.5in speaker are too big. Any help is appreciated.

 

Probably 2" or 2.5".

 

You can make them fit. I found some "knee-panel" speakers dangling out of an old XJ at the JY and took them. They didnt fit perfectly for some reason, but with a little JB weld and some other MacGyver stunts, I made them fit and they are secure. No rhyme or reason for why I did it the way I did, I just figured something out and it worked. Doesnt look like garbgage either. Not to mention that you cant see them once theyre installed. I'd lean on the 2.5" side also....
