yea seafoam in the intake and lucus in the gas are both great stuff

if higher octane fuel changed the knocking then its pre ignition and you should change the knock sensor

Just looked at your video again. I think if it was me I'd have the valve cover off. With your thumb on a rag you can press on the rockers one at a time and see if one changes it. (if it's not obvious)

Or maybe that was checked?

Was this aimed at me? Not my video, someone else's post. If not for me sorry :P. As far as knock sensor testing, I've seen someone test it on a different vehicle with an ohm meter. Think it has to register megaohms though. I pulled the codes and no knock sensor or anything listed at all for that matter.

I guess I will end up replacing it anyway, just not looking forward to the $70 price tag.

I thought knock sensors were a renix only thing...

That's embarrassing. Thought it was a good idea.

I saw it suggested that WITH one, you might actually get better economy on premium since Renix will advance the spark until it knocks. (gonna try it next tank).
