That will get you to someplace to repair or replace your regular tire. No problem. It's a lot better match than the little donut temp tires they use these days.
BUT I wouldn't want put hundreds of miles on that setup. You'd have a dangerous situation if you ever have to hit the brakes hard. That's probably a recipe for an uncontrolled spin.
And like Firestorm said, you may have some lean and pull, and it would not be fun to fight that for hundreds of miles, plus, it would probably not be good for your other tires. You'd have uneven wear.

He'll be at least as well off as somebody with a modern temporary spare, which is the majority of cars on the road today.
