How's it going everyone. I just bought my first car, a 1994 Jeep Cherokee XJ Sport, 4.0l HO 5 speed. I'm pretty stoked, but just ran into a minor problem. About a week back, when I bought the beauty, I did a whole new brake tune up. I had ordered a new brake booster; but after I put it in, I tried to fire her up. Nothing but a click. All the lights come on, everything works. When I turn the key to start, the radio goes out, but I think that's normal. I checked the flashing code; which read 1, 2, 5, 5. I'm pretty sure that's just a code telling me the battery was undone recently. I tested my starter, and she winds up just fine. I check all the fuses, relays, sensors, and they all check out. Grounds are good too. I think it might be the ignition switch, but I've heard it's rare for those to go out.
Now I'm stumped.
If anybody's had this problem, or maybe knows a solution, please let me know! I've tried almost everything I know or have read. I'm pretty mechanically inclined.. but when it comes to electrical ****, I'm dumber than a rock. I just want her to be ready before I get my license this August. Thank you for any help and suggestions!

I suggest double checking your battery cables, both ends. If you have a loose connection, you can get power to everything, and all looks good, but once you ask for that heavy power draw of the starter, there's just not enough juice to make things happen.

I had this all the time when I had a bad cable on my old TJ.

I had a similar problem just a few months ago. Turned out my son had been working on it and had not tightened the terminal down. Sometimes it was fine, but other times nothing. No start, but I did have lights. But sometimes not. I had him tighten it up and life was good.
Just from a loose battery terminal.
