Somehow it just didn't seem right to "like" the misery and frustration you were going through.

I had few...ok several...ok a lot of beer last night...so I guess I was being an attention ***** asking for likes...hahah...But yeah I suppose how can anyone like a post laced with misery? Plus it is more of a Facebook thing. Ok I will prob get a call but won't be able to update cause Monday is a nightmare at work usually. So this evening it is. Man I am so curious how they are gonna do it. Onto the big waiting game

This forum just recently started the like system, so we are not yet conditioned to hit the like button. Plus, like third coast, said, it seems wrong to like so much mechanical misery.

there is a super tool I almost forgot, especially for getting siezed nuts off, its an induction heater, just thick coils of wire, heats the nut to red hot in seconds when the current flows, then use one of those fluted sockets...a big shop may have one.

btw, I swapped wheels the other day, and just one lug nut needed a 4ft breaker bar...hmmm...I must have used the impact driver, and forgot to check torque to 80ftlbs

Well...they did it! And they broke the rim. And one of the mechanics got hit in the face with a mallet. So they melted 3 studs and lugnuts and I guess got the other one off somehow..and the holes on the rim were okay...but I guess mallet guy pounded it so hard it broke the rim in the back bead. He ended up going home early but I think he is okay...so I raced home and picked up my spare(same rim) and they were able to put the tire off the broken rim onto that...and reinstall the tires. I was like dont overtighten themmmm!!! And I threw them 80 bucks....because they are my friends and mallet head spent half a day working on the lugs...it is a small price to pay. The deserve it, I know some of you will say they owe me and why would I do that..well that is me. That is how I do things...I know cost vs labor and how much they put out to get it done. And it was done right. I drove her home and now I can finish my project work. Also once I strip off what I need one of the guys wants to buy it. I was like 400 bucks haha. It won't be worth much when I am done. But Whatever. The conclusion to this debacle is they melted out 3 studs and hammered off the rim...but the center points of the rim held. It is now good to go. Worth every second and penny. Hope the other guy feels better. Oye

Haha thanks Dave! The mechanics did tell me it was really crazy and took a lot of time. Which I told them it would anyway. Hopefully next weekend I can pull the tires to swap, and also swap the calipers and rotors....to the zj. Wow. That one was one hellluva mission. Thanks to everyone for sticking by me throughout. Time to move forward!!!!
