I have a 94 cherokee with 270 thousand miles and when I drive for a long time it acts like it's about to die and if I let off the gas it will just shut down. Also if I'm trying to climb a big hill it will die. I recently replaced the fuel filter and I was just wondering what you guys might think it was or how I could test the parts. Thanks!
I agree. Also if you have a screen or sock on fuel system it can plug with crap and as soon as it dies the suction stops and relives the plugged sock or screen. Also check electrical. If you loose enough voltage to stop injectors from firing or to keep ECM awake bam dead jeep.

OP, how old is your battery/alternator? I'd get both of those components load tested at your local auto parts store. Also do the fuel pressure test while there and see if there are any stored codes.
Your problem could also be fuel, spark or air related.
Also symptoms of a failing CPS.

The issue with testing fuel pressure is I can never guess when it will break down. The battery ad alternator are new. How hard Is it to pull the iac and the other things? This is my daily driver?

Not hard, just disconnect everything and pull the throttle body off to disassemble everything and clean real good and reassemble. Don't forget to get a new gasket for the throttle body though.

I have replaced the map sensor, the coil, and now the crank shaft positioning sensor. I cleaned the iac and throttle body. It ran fine for about 3 miles. Then I parked it and shut it off, then when I started it, it would act up again. I can't figure it out!!!

Took on another test drive out and on the freeway and was doing great wanted to test a theory so I pulled over and turned it off. Now it won't start.

Well I tried the computer and it didn't fix it. Then a distributor and that didn't fix it. I have good fuel pressure. It's weird cause it only does it when it's hot never cold. Any one have any ideas?

Crank sensor, also check your grounds, I had to put a ground strap on my fuel tank to the unibody frame rail I had the same issues last year.

I checked all the grounds in the engine bay and also put a new crank sensor in. But I will check the one on the fuel pump. It's just weird cause it only does it when it's warmed up or if I drive it then shut it off

I was at 32 at idle then I ran with it hooked up and when it started acting up it would bounce a little like 26-35 but would stay in there then die.
