94 jeep xj cranks but wont start, no spark
Hi,
yes yes i know there is a lot of threads about this topic, but i have not been successful.
I have a 94 jeep xj, 4.0. I was driving down the freeway one evening and my jeep just cut out and died. I recently, few weeks had passed, replaced my rear main seal and oil, ect. I thought it may have been because of this and i would have no oil or a leak, but nope, everything was fine. Oil looked amazing, had plenty of it. One thing i noticed when my engine cut was my oil pressure light came on. When i turn my key to acc now its the only light that stays lit. The jeep cranks, but won't start. So i checked for spark....there wasnt any. I replaced the plugs, cap, rotar, wires, ignition coil and crankshaft position sensor. Still doing the same exact thing. I have tested for the NSS and ASD and they are fine.
Soooooo if any of you great people out there have any amazing ideas on what i can do, aside from taking it to a shop, that would be amazing!
Thank you all, i greatly appreciate it.

It's a bit early to say, but it could be your ECU, or a connection to it. Get a 12V test light, test primary and secondary circuits at the coil.
Also, there's small things you can rule out as well such as cleaning your grounds. Also if you have A/C and it works, try swapping ASD relay out with A/C and see if it starts.

I have never seen a crank sprocket that worn out in my 30 years of being a mechanic. How many miles on this engine?

it wasn't worn, the teeth were ripped off by the chain probably from trying to start it a few times after. the chain seemed to have seized up in a section and jumped off the sprocket. 209k though
