Hello All

I got my jeep two years ago from someone who had it in their backyard. It's done me good and I love it.

BUT right now I have an issue... When I am sitting at an a long light, it will start to rev high. It only lasts a few seconds but it trips my engine light. Also I noticed if I take it on the freeway after it does this there is a drag when I am giving it gas.

It gets up to speed, does not shimmie shake or stall but I am afraid it's getting worse and mechanics can't seem to tell me what it is. They are now guessing catalytic converter, fuel pump...

Has anyone had this happen? I need help before I get taken for an expensive ride.

Hi Sadie & welcome to CF...Tell the mechanic's to check the throttle position sensor that's what it sounds like to me...Tj
