Default 94 head work on 2000 4.0??

M replacing the motor on my jeep with engine parts from a 94 and 97 4.0 I am tryin to use a 94 head BUT I have nowhere to mount my coil pack. What are my options of mounting it on my 94 head?? Also I heard my 2000 exhaust manifold won't bolt up to my 94 head is this true?

Your going to have to get creative in order to mount your coil packs since the 94 head doesn't have the bosses to mount them too.. But it can be done. I would try and make some kind of bracket that goes to the packs and tie it into the bolts on the valve cover. I personally haven't had to do this yet, but that's what I would do.

Your 2000 manifold will not bolt right up. You will need the manifold from the 94. But... You can make it work if you use a manifold gasket from a 94 xj, so I'm told.

Apparently the exhaust ports aren't the same size.. I can't remember whether smaller or larger. But the 94 gasket should fix that. If it were me I would jump at the chance to get rid of those two awful precats on the 00 manifold and just get a nice header for the 94 head

I have the coil pack figured out now but my problem is I have 4 o2 sensors wouldn't the 94 exhaust only have 2?

Yes that's exactly right.. If you use a 94 manifold gasket the 2000 manifold should work.

But I'd rather ditch the 2000 manifold too lol. But I honestly don't know what you would do with the extra o2 sensors. Hopefully someone will chime in and we can both learn

I've heard there is a header for a 2000 that ports line up with the ports on the 7021 head
