'94 Cherokee, Alternator Question....
I hope someone has a suggestion to help.I am in the middle of replacing the alternator on my '94 Cherokee (Country Edition). I've removed the drive belt, and was in the process of removing the electrical wires. The field terminals require a 7mm socket to remove. One of the terminal nuts removed easy, while the other is rounded/stripped, and I can't get it to turn at all. Since there is little room at all to work with, any suggestions on how I can remove this terminal nut?? This is the only thing holding me up, thanks.

I'm having the same problem right now. If I remove the alt from the mounts I can peel back that black casing covering everything?

I'm not sure. I have the alt. unbolted and am trying to wrestle it out right now. But I grabbed hold of the black console with the 4 terminals coming out of it and I don't think that it is supposed to be peeled back at all. Once I get the Alt down I'll report back with findings.
