So my 92 died on me after 280k in december and it has been sitting in storage since, i'm thinking i need to just rebuild the motor and i was wondering if there are any good threads on here that have good info. or if someone has a better idea than a flat out rebuild.

Is it starting or anything.
Does it try to start or click? Any details on wut happened when it died?

 

it wants to start, it will go chug chug chug.... but wont start.

It was one morning i was backing out of the driveway, i started it up and went about 10 feet backwards, then it just died.

 

Like the starter is winding up but not turning the motor over?

 

i guess that would be the best way to describe it

 

Have you tried to jump your jeep off or put a new battery?

 

i haven't tried anything, when it died my buddy took it to his shop and it has just been parked there. i was planning on taking a look at it tomorrow and just wondering what i should try

 

Try the battery first off. Check to make the starter is going. Check the Fuel pump if the starter is going. Their is a WHOLE list of things lol Battery and fuel pump is where i would start. Then start checking electrical... You can also find some threads of starting problems on here with A LOT of answers. Just post it up what's going on and any progress

It can be a pain to find the prob but it's worth it... it took me almost a week to go through everything when it happened to me a while back lol
