Pulled this jeep out of a long term covered storage... since 2008!

Gone over a few things and ive gotten hung up on making this jeep run.

Im no stranger to reviving a dead jeep but this one has a security light flashing at me when i try to start it. Initially i had it running jumping the starter and spraying starting fluid right into the throttle body. Since getting a fresh battery in it, fresh gas and a new fuel filter it just fires and stumbles then dies. This all in about 4 seconds! I can literally hold the key to start and let it crank and stumble -crank and stumble - crank and stumble.

This leads me to trying to bypass this Security light SOO - anyone swap the computer from a 95 into their 94 or older jeep? Im curious if the 95 being the first year for an airbag - so it having a different steering column and ign switch setup might make the pcm's behave a little differently? i ask about a 95 pcm because i have a spare 95 computer or 2 sitting around.

I ran out of time tonight to dig it out and try it on a whim so i figured i'd ask and think on it overnight and consider shared info from here

This has been resolved. no key fob with this jeep but i locked - unlocked the passenger door from the outside using the key, went to the driver side, unlocked *external alarm!* - locked then unlocked- again using the key from the outside. opened the door hopped in and went to start the key and it fired right up.
