Are these pcms interchangable??

I have a 92 Cherokee with a PCM with the number 488. Can I use a PCM with the number 851 out of a 95??

Where is the computer located on a 95/95 XJ?

yes 91-95 HOs can swap around. 96 then went OBDII and they wont work as well as the renix and older ones. I put in a 94 into my 92 a month ago and works great

so would i gain anything if i put a 95 into my 91? or are they all the same, just interchangeable?

i think ecm have codes on them that have to match to work correctly not 100 percent on this on jeeps there should be a white sticker with numbers on it
