Default 92 jeep chrokee laredo

I posted a few weeks back about my head light and stereo short. I decided to direct wire my stereo, and my headlights still don't work. I don't know if I mentioned in my last post that my turn signals didn't work well I decided to move wires around and got my turn signals working. My headlights came on today one time when I flip my bright lights back a couple of times then my dims came on for about 3 seconds and clicked and shut off. Any suggestions on what might be wrong I replaced the headlight switch yesterday and still nothing.

try looking at the ignition box the one on or in the steering column. My 90 had a similar problem and it was because the ignition harness had overheated and shorted out. Eventually it caused the engine to die when I turned on my headlights and or radio.
