92 Cherokee 4.0L eating distributors

They're refurbs that are seizing up within a few thousand miles of replacement...

What could be the cause?

Define "seizing up".

I'd start with the fact that they're refurbished...

Pull one out of a junk yard engine.

Seizing as in the shaft bearing gets horribly tight.
