Hello i just bought a 91 Cherokee 2-door with 5-speed and 4 wheel drive. i am looking for a way to get a console so i can have cup holders and an arm rest. i was wondering if i could pick up any Cherokee console from a junk yard even an automatic and modify it. any help would be appreciated

 

the pre 96 Cherokees consoles would work fine as long as it has the shift boot for a manual. But if you want cup holders, then get a post 96 Cherokee console. It's just a little harder to find the shift boot for them. I think the manual and automatic consoles are the same except for the little bezel/shift boot that pops in and out depending on tranny. So u can just get a console from a automatic Cherokee and pop the bezel out and put a shift boot in instead.

 

thanks for the input I was just worried about the e break I've read a lot that you need to move it to put in the 96+ Cherokees
