checking that u-joint same as the main ones. Turn steering wheel all the way to stop. Look behind the front wheel you should be able to see the U-joint. it'll probably jiggle, it shouldn't. Now, on a good note. If this is a DD you can get by with a jiggly front U-joint, if you use 4x4 alot then fix it. Mine's been jiggly for a while now I'm waiting for funds(as we all know). good luck.
