Default ‘90 XJ Wipers/Turn Signal/Hi Beam Not Working

Tried searching in previous threads but they were either several years old or don’t really apply to my problem. I’ve got a 90 XJ and the whole blinker switch just suddenly stopped working. No turn signal, no wipers, no high beams on my lights. Somebody said it can’t be a fuse since there would be more than one fuse for all of those things so I’m at a total loss of what it could be and have no clue where to start. Any help would be appreciated

The connector for all those accessories is located toward the bottom of the steering column above and in front of the brake pedal. Edit: Except for the high beams - However that switch is at the base of the steering column as well. It is above the connector for the wipers/turn signals and actuated by a long rod. End Edit. The connector is white and rather long. I would make sure that it is fully seated from one end to the other. In this picture you can see the end of the connector. It is above the yellow box, which is the cruise control module, if you have one. Also look for damage to any of the wires going to or coming from both sides of that connector.

Perfect thank you! I’ll check that out and go from there. My high beams actually started working (go figure) so maybe it’s something simpler than I originally thought.

It's generally the brown wire on the ignition switch is toasted. Likely the switch is also.

Had them replace the ignition switch and wires and that fixed it. Thanks!
