Over the last week it's felt a little off, but now it's so bad I can't upshift or downshift without grinding gears or pumping the **** out of my clutch.

It feels like the clutch isn't engaging anymore. When I press it down, there's no pressure until I'm at the floor, and even then, it's hardly pushing back.
The first time I decided to accept something was wrong, I had come off the highway from 4th gear and slowed to a stop and my car stalled out and died.

Anybody know why it's acting how it is?

This is obviously a Wrangler but you get the point.

I'd be willing to bet that your clutch slave has gone bad and you're about to have to replace it. Unfortunately, it's in the bell housing and the transmission has to come out. (IF that's the problem.)

Climb under the Jeep and look at the bell housing. If it's covered in fluid then I'm right. Actually, I'd bet the whole underside of the Jeep from there back is covered in fluid. It should be dripping from the bottom of the gas tank...

look above fuse box any fluid on clutch master rod if so replace it now it will eat up fuse box causing whole new issues

Maybe he'll get lucky and the master will be bad... Bleeding the clutch system is a pain.

Yeah, kinda oily ooze, looks like a chunk of resin was spit onto where the rod pumps..

Damn.

And lowrange, nothing dripping, but the whole bottom of the engine block has been covered black **** since I got it, but there is a missing bolt and hasn't been a problem for the 5 - 6 years I've had this..

I've been asking friends and looking online to see if there was a way to just tighten up the clutch, since I dunno how to bleed it, but yeah.. Having to replace the slave cylinder is what it looks like I'm gonna have to get done.

wipe the top of fuse box off sooner you get it off the better

Does it have fluid in it? There's no adjusting the clutch...

The only way it'd do what you're describing is if it's lacking fluid.

That or it's almost completely worn out.
