Default 90 cheroke w/bad transfer case

I've got a 90 Cherokee (4L, 23 spline AX15, 231, 3" RC, 31's on 10 holes, D30/D35)) with a bad transfer case. I've found a tcase out of a 2000 cherokee w/17k miles on it, will this work without any issues?

I know my stock tcase has all those vacuum lines coming off the back of it and the new one doesnt, will this pose a problem?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

if its 23 spline then it should bolt up. but like you mentioned there will be different vacuum lines and electrical connections im sure

Ya, I'm more worried what to do with those vacuum lines. I know the spline counts are the same, but the vac lines have me worried.

someone else correct me here if i'm wrong, but im pretty sure the vacuum lines control the lights on the dash (atleast thats how it is for the later models)

although the newer models could be completely different.. and can't for the life of me remember how my 90 was set up w/ all that vacuum line garbage

for what its worth, putting a newer 231 tcase into my 90 went perfectly fine. no issues or hiccups at all. i'd venture to say it was a 100% direct bolt in. i reused my mech. speedo and gear, speedo works. i disconnected all the vac. lines and such, and removed them. no issues at all.

now to figure out whats causing my clutch issues..
