drums
ALWAYS replace wheel cylinders, hoses, and calipers in pairs

Yes.... 10 inch drums have fins... 9 inchers do not.




9 inch on the left... 10 inch on the right..

Before finding this thread I called the Jeep dealership to find out from them and the parts guy couldn’t tell me if my XJ had the 9" or 10" (sad really) But after reading this post it answered my question. So I replaced my rear drums, shoes ect. on my 2000 XJ 4.0L, straight 6. It was indeed the 9" "smooth" one.

I wish id know that before shipping 10 inch drums and shoes all the way too norway, 250$ down the drain...

Is it had to convert from 9 to 10 inch brakes? I have all the springs for the 10 inch. I guess the wheel cylinder will be different as well as the shield(or whatever it is) on the back.

YES I HAVE Anti-lock -brakes & the outside of drums R ribbed but the brake lines go in at an angle
