Ok,this is a stupid question,but please read the whole thing before flaming me. On a 89 XJ auto transmission,will the transmission shift without the TCU? What are the side effects of not having it? The reason why im asking its my Peugot went out,and a friend is doing an engine swap to a Chevy 350,so he's giving me all the parts motor trans everything i need in exchange for helping him install the new motor and trans. So i decided to throw in the ax4 instead of shelling out close to $2000 down here in TX for another Peugot or around $1500 for an ax15. He does have the TCU,but im having a problem figuring out were to wire it into the electrical system. Im good at wiring,i install emergency lights,sirens and radios on fire trucks,ambulances,police cars etc,to its not from lack of knowledge in wiring. Any thoughts, suggestions,tips or ideas? thanks
