what about the white block with 2 wire clips on the face.maybe a volt reg.iam not sure but could that kill spark?i just bought a 90 parts jeep that runs like a champ.it was t boned hard tho so not a driver.i will start swapping parts tomorrow but wanna try a few small things first

 

That's probably the ballast resistor for the fuel pump. It's there to reduce fuel pump noise, if it goes bad the fuel pump will run in "start" but not in "on", thus the motor will start but die when you release the key. It has no effect on spark.

ok here is the deal.i have a runner and have been taking known good parts like cps,icu,and coil,still NOTHING.i even changed the unit that getting the hot battery lead.iam stumped and i need to get to work tomorrow.i need to know what else could be stopping my spark.ecu maybe if so where is it??

 

Check your crank shaft postioning sencor that's my problem right now just waiting on money to9 fix it
