I have an 89 jeep cherokee 4.0 L. new alternator, new battery, good plugs and plug wires. the problem is......when i crank the engine over it acts just like the battery is about dead. a couple good cranks then slowly dies. any thoughts would be helpful. thanks

Have you had the starter checked? also check grounds at both batt and engine

Sometimes it's as simple as just jiggling the battery terminals or scraping the crud of a ground wire.

I'm changing the battery terminals and ground wire today. if that doesn't fix things then the starter gets pulled. i picked the starter out of an auto wrecker about 6 months ago. sometimes it doesn't pay to try and save a few bucks. thanks for the help guys.

This link will help you with Renix XJ sensors. Pay close attention to the CPS portion.
