I have a trouble code P1694 and when I connect the battery I hear a clicking noise, almost like my hazards are on coming, from under the dash. It stops after about 15 seconds. Engine will turn over, but will not start...and non of my gauges work on the dash, can anyone help me please?!? thanks alot

P1694 No engine MSGS -acts like your not getting power from ignition switch to Power control module PCM, I would start by checking ignition switch for making contact. Or unplug battery ground and unplug and reconnect PCM making contact. Check ground wires to body.

here is the history of the story, I dont know it may change your opinion about whats wrong. I bought the jeep wrecked, the engine wire harness connectors had broken in the pcm, when I bought the jeep it came with a different pcm. so yesterday we took another engine wire harness and soldered the wires, taped, and wrapped them up plugged it in to the pcm and thats when It wouldnt start. I dont know if that will change your opinion on whats wrong but I thought I should mention it. thanks!!!!!

I am trying to find out what the tcm is, and where it is located, what it looks like. I took off the bottom of the dash and a black box hanging from wires dropped down....not sure if it has anything to do with the problem. It is the thing making the clicking noise when just connecting the battery. I attached a pic of it, please help me. thanks
