Ok! So i finally started working on the jeep today. I got to drive it maybe 10 feet. Started up and it squealed like a pig. Found out it was just straight water in the cooling system. So the water pump was frozen to the point of not moving. I flushed it with water til it flowed freely. Then removed the cover on the expansion tank to let some of the water drain out. Since i didnt have another belt to put on i just tried to get a bit of the water out since i know it will freeze again tonight i wanted it to be able to expand without causing any new damage. Best i could do with what i had at the moment.
Tomorrow im getting a new serpnderp belt. One thing im concerned abotu though is when ir emoved the valve cover there was chunks of oil burnt iback into fossils. Little rocks of sludgey oil rocks. I used a flat blade to scrape out as much as i could and im thinking tomorrow ill spray degreaser on it and use a shop vaccume to suck the rest of the chunks out. Any other tips or suggestions? Spent a good 4 hours scrubbing the valve cover clean and getting allt he brunt crud off and its still not quite done...blech. But yeah no serpnderp belt. It doesnt run now stuck halfway in my driveway lol. Any advice on the engine sludge?

His engine is in the vehicle!!!
Don't do that!!
Post up a pic if you can. The sludge can be removed slowly and without any damage if done properly.
Vacuum out the chunks. Put some Rotella T3 oil in it-5 quarts. Add a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil. Use a Wix or Napa Gold oil filter.
Drive it for about 1000 miles while monitoring the progress through the oil filler hole.

Lol serpnderp belt
Burnt on crud you say? I'd drop the pan and clean that out too. Give it a bit of a kerosene wash. No telling how much **** is lodged in the oil pump pickup.

Lol i love you guys. I spent 2 days using flat blade screwdrivers to scrape all the burnt chunks into a pile. Then sucked it out with a shop vac. I did 5 quarts of 5w-30 valvoline full synthetic. And 1 quart of marvel mystery oil. And found out either hte rear main seal is leaking or the oil pan gasket. Going to spray a buttload of industrial purple degreaser on the underside of the engine and pressure wash it. Do a lil test drive and see exactly where my leak is because if i can avoid the rear main seal i want too. =P And good on ya there about the oil pump. I bet your right that it is plugged up. Ill get some pics on later tomorrow.
