On my 89 Cherokee I have 2 cooling fans, one mechanical, and the other electric. I was wondering at what temperature should the electric one kick on? My temp sending unit works and I tested the fan straight to the battery and it worked great. I have a very clean rust free cooling system and new coolant pressure bottle. My temp hovers around 200 (well the line between 100 and 210 which I am guessing would be 190-200). I haven't driven it more than 20-30 miles at a time back and forth to work a few times but I am planning a few longer trips in it soon.

210* is normal operating temp. E fan should come on around 218* or if you have a/c on.

No thats not bad. I wasn't saying I had a problem I was just wondering at what temp it kicked on since I had never heard or saw it kick on before.
