Default 89 4.0 engine donor question

I have a 89 jeep cherokee 4.0 auto and I,m looking for a donor engine to rebuild while I,m driving mine.Is there a certain year I should be looking for that would be the same.Is the renix engine only made in certain years?Any other tips would be nice like cracks or other things that are common on a 4.0

87 to 92 Comanche can be used.
87 to 99 Cherokee can be used.
94 to 98 Grand Cherokee can be used.
Wrangler 4.0s through 98 interchange.

All with little or no modifications.
