Got a pic of a TCU. It's mounted right up under the area where your knees would hit in a collision if you were sitting on the passenger side.

Make sure this white switch up under the dash at the pivot point of the brake pedal is adjusted properly.

Hey now...you have a one hour advantage. That means you only get up two or three hrs earlier. Isn't it time for your nap?

Cruiser is pointing out a switch on the brake pedal that Radi turned us on to. It's a Torque converter lockup preventer switch. It guarantees the TC will be unlocked if you have your foot on the brake.

Idk if it closes, or opens when you hit the brake, but if you meter it, and it changes from one to the other, it probably is working.

(CO Radi):

1st gear - solenoid 1 ON, solenoid 2 OFF
2nd gear - solenoid 1 ON, solenoid 2 ON
3rd gear - solenoid 1 OFF, solenoid 2 ON
4th gear - solenoid 1 OFF, solenoid 2 OFF
Lockup - Solenoid 3

Wow-I learn something new everyday. I'm going to have to have a look at mine now.

We need one of the blend air door cable under the passenger side dash. Where it hooks to the lever.

So what is is the proper adjustment for the brake pedal switch? Should it look just like the one pictured above? Just wondering I want to look at mine and see if it's set right.

Got the week off from work and just going over the little things on my XJ while I have tons of time on my hands. LOL

I think it should be closer to the pedal so the least amount of the pintle is sticking out, but the switch doesn't get smacked by the pedal when you let off it.
