88 Lerado Window Regulator Cable
So I tried to get my Jeep inspected and it failed because the drivers window will roll down most of the way but not come back up. I pulled the panel off to find that the cable attached to the crank was a little short (eg it broke). Because the entire assembly is riveted to the door I was wondering if there was an easy way to pull a cable from a junkyard door without having to punch out rivets.

Bring a cordless drill with you to the yard and drill out the rivets. Its easier to remove the whole assembly instead of making a frankenstein. You will more then likely want to remove you're current one due to work gears. Find yourself a better one to replace you're current one and save you're hands and sanity.
Drill out the rivets and rather bolt it back up or use new rivets.
