Hi there,
Was wondering if someone can help me out, I have just noticed a leak on my '88 jeep cherokee has a little over 81k on it, with 5 spd tranny. I have a leak that is coming out of the bottom bolt of the transmission bell housing. It is not oil, I can wash it right off the driveway, it is like water but very black. I am wondering if this is really transmission fluid as I know usually it is red, also I thought in this area was where the torque converter and flex plate were which is another reason I don't know if this is tranny fluid. It only does it when the vehicle is warm, it is weird though because it leaked today but I drove the other day 100 miles back and forth in 95 degree heat and it didn't leak that day. It did this a time before but I didn't think it was my car because it was not leaking while it was sitting. It seems very sporadic when it does this.

Let me know if you cannot see the pictures maybe I can find another way to attach.

Uh oh I think it is brake fluid I just was going through and checking the fluids and the resevoir for the brake fluid was really low, why would it be leaking from here though? It is the same fluid on the driveway.
