Default 88 Cherokee cranks but wont start

88 Cherokee Laredo, automatic transmission. The problem, went to my Jeep this morning to start it up and started up just fine and waited for it to warm up a little then a few minutes later it had a really rough idle so i figured it was low on gas. Threw it in gear and tried to get to the gas station and half way up the driveway it died on me and at the time i was flooring the gas pedal, parked it and tried to start it again and all I get is a strong crank like it wants to start. Tried it again and all it does is crank. All i can think of is either a bad CPS or a bad fuel pump but it may be something simple...

Check the tube from the throttle body to MAP sensor. If it's messed up in any way, it will run pig-rich.

Ran air and checked for leaks and everything is good for that set up.

If you have another vehicle (Chevy 88-99) or buddies Jeep borrow the MAP and see if it works that way, sure fire way to find a bad MAP.
Other than that "cruise" through Cruisers tips for a good start.

I'll do that sometime tomorrow, and I actually did that a few weeks ago, everything was good until now...

Did you try starting it in Clear Flood Mode (pedal to the floor)?

Once my Jeep buddies gets here we will go over to surprise and get a fuel pressure tester, and fuel pump you can't barely hear it and sounds a little off.
