88 Cherokee cranks but wont start
88 Cherokee Laredo, automatic transmission. The problem, went to my Jeep this morning to start it up and started up just fine and waited for it to warm up a little then a few minutes later it had a really rough idle so i figured it was low on gas. Threw it in gear and tried to get to the gas station and half way up the driveway it died on me and at the time i was flooring the gas pedal, parked it and tried to start it again and all I get is a strong crank like it wants to start. Tried it again and all it does is crank. All i can think of is either a bad CPS or a bad fuel pump but it may be something simple...

Check the tube from the throttle body to MAP sensor. If it's messed up in any way, it will run pig-rich.

If you have another vehicle (Chevy 88-99) or buddies Jeep borrow the MAP and see if it works that way, sure fire way to find a bad MAP.
