recently bought this jeep for $600 from a buddy. the clutch has a pretty bad leak. BAD. haha i've traced it to a crack in the metal line from the slave, where it kinda wraps around the flywheel.

anyways, so its got this crack. no idea where to start for fixing it. I've heard you can just buy replacement line at autostores? if so what size would i need? what size fittings? can you just bend it to shape? I'd imagine it would crack, kink, or pinch itself. anything worth the effort for trying to patch it? should i just try to find one and pull one from a yard?

anybody else have this happen before? or have atleast a hint to any of my questions? thanks!!
