hello everyone, i have an 86 xj 2.5l TBI, bored over, ported, msd ignition and coil. i have been having some issues latley, suprise suprise. anyway the jeep has been idling a little rough and would stall out with no notice, sometimes boggdown upon deceleration. i have replaced o2,cps,tps,cts,plugs,wires,injector,fuel pump. all this seemed to help somewhat, but while driving my air/fuel meter goes to lean for a while and then bounce around like normal. i know it does this when gas pedal is released due to the lack of fuel, but it does it a high speeds and low speeds, at higher speeds i dont notice any bogging down or anything, if i play with the gas pedal it will go rich again thats what made me think tps..and at low speeds it boggs when it goes lean, of course. and to make matters worse there is no consistancy to it? ive also checked vacume lines, grounds. so i was reading in my chiltons man. and said to check resistance between the injector connector power terminal and the d1 connector 6, that checked out, but it also said to check resistance between the injector connector ground terminal and a good known ground, there wasnt even continuety between the two, i assume there should be. im stumped, i figure if its not getting ground then it wouldnt operate or pulse at all? is this right? also does any one know how to take out the renix computer, i know where its located, just dont know if i take the actual bracket off with the ecu on it or take the ecu off the bracket? was gonna open it up and check for any burned capasitors or diodes. sorry for the long post, any help would be appreciated.
