i had to fix me Exhaust manifold and i got one free (ended up getting 2 more also free)..... power steering pump free, d-shafts, control arms, starters, alts, and even 2 sets of axles and a tranny, all free.... the red lift shackles as you can see in the picture, those were also free.... so i get lucky sometimes but this axle was too nice to pass-up and $90 was more than a decent price
Here is a couple of pictures, this all started with I had to put it back on the road and cheap,my son had stripped it to make a rock crawler out of it,everything on it at this time is from the local yard, doors, glass, roof rack which is actually not a unit, came from two different jeeps, the tire carrier, rims, fenders, and D44. all for less than $500. The lift on it is off a ford ranger, which will be changed soon to 5" using bpacks and 4" coils and a 1" spacer in front. I hope to have it done soon.

Problem was I did not have time to remove it because I was on my way to Mississippi for a job and knew there was no way it would still be there a week later when I came back through. Well I stopped anyway just to check and a short time later that baby was in the back of my work van headed for home. I still have not installed it yet because the MJs are spring under, so I will have to get new spring perches and shock mounts. But at least I got it before someone else did.
I see D44s here sometimes but they want an arm and a leg for them. I just got lucky,I just pulled the rear discs off a 95 grand that will be going on my 89 soon.
Sometimes we just live right

I got mine complete drum to drum for a little over $100 including the driveshaft. Besides the spring perches, I'm kind of waiting until I can regear it, lock it, and do the disc brake conversion before I put it in. It's much easier to do all those mods when it's up on a work bench.

Yeah, we have a great time wheeling together. Here is a pic from when we were at Walker Valley just a week ago.
