I bought a 8.25 axle from pulla a part today and i pulled it a part and it is a 29 spline but everybody seems to say they were only in 97 and newer, just wondering cause i was wanting to order a locker and they are for 29 spline 97 and newer? any input would be appreciated!

 

oh this one came froma 96 cherokee!

 

the 96 you pulled it from could have been the crossyear.

 

the one i order is from offroadlockers.com/ i got the aussie arrives tomorrow

My 96 came with the 29 spline 8.25 rear also. It is when they switched over.
