Default 8.25 OVERHAUL and SWAP

I have ditched the 9 inch rear axle for the time being but...
I just got a '97 chrysler 8.25 that Im gonna swap into my '91 XJ. My '91 is a 4.0 HO with the AX-15 5-speed and 3.08 gears. Not much get up and go with 32s on my Jeep. Not bad, but not good. The 8.25 I got at a great deal and has the 3.55s installed and the 29 spline shafts.
The condition of this axle is the worst Ive ever seen on any axle. I'll let the pics speak for themselves.
All it needs are new rear wheel seal and a new pinion seal. All other internals look great and will have this "little beast" looking and running like a brand new axle, if not better.

Looks like alot of them in the midwest. Are you sure it didnt come out of a lake? Just clean it up a little and Rust-opium will make it like new.

I want to know where to get some of this "rust opium". To think all along I could have just smoked the rust off my jeep!
