65+ mph vibrations

Default 65+ mph vibrations

Hey I have a 92 lifted 5 inches. I have a iro hack and tap. I recently put in an Aussie locker in. I get a vibration above 65 mph. Any ideas??

Sorry. Ill be more specific. I have 235 75 15 toyo open country's. Just recently balanced. I'm pretty sure they aren't the problem.

Your rear pinion should be pointing directly at the t-case output shaft.

Yes it is. Sorry. 4* shims on my leafs. They aren't it either. Could my transfer case be the culprit??

Check your drive shaft for missing counter weights.

Its 3 months old. Also from iro. Weights still on. I grease it after every wheeling weekend. ( at least once a month )

Could it be coming from the front? maybe your castor needs adjustment

Check your wheel bearings. I tried everything else before figuring out that was causing my vibes.

Tie rods could be replaced. My sway bar links are Rubicon express's junk kind(heim joint on one end). But I know they are on good

Are these hard to replace?? Are they on front and back? Expensive??

I was more referring to the pinion angle possibly being too low in the front causing ujoint vibes. This would occur when having a correct castor alignment according to factory specs.

Not sure how hard the rear ones are, but the fronts are easy assuming everything isn't rusted. Easier than changing an axle shaft u-joint, since its the same process.
Drive the speed the vibes start at, and take curves in both directions (mountain highways) Mine would get worse turning towards the left and go away turning right, so I replaced the hub assembly on the left side. Its gone now.
