the housings are good, the wiring kit that comes with em i didnt like at all. very thin wire, thin insulation and cheap connectors. sad thing is those lights out of the box are gonna be brighter than the stock headlights....

Yeah, I wouldn't run more juice through those Walmart things without upgrading the wiring.

I like them so far but can I put brighter bulbs in them? And if so what bulbs would I need. I'm guessing the worst that could happen is blowing the fuse (I hope)

I bought a set of these when I was a noob to jeeps, still have them sitting in a bag. I might use them as reverse lights idk.

they have a drain hole in the bottom so dont flip them over or they will fill with water.

the stock wiring and switch sucks, throw it away, I wouldnt wire a doll house with that ****. I think its the same wiring Al used on the original tool time the board game.

No, the worst would be melting the crappy insulation on the stock wiring and causing an electrical fire.

Basically upgrade the wiring to 14 gauge and run a 40 amp relay. That should take care of two 100 watt lights just fine

I upgraded it with some 14AWG THHN and supplied it with 10AWG on a relay. I'm using 130W bulbs, and they get really f*cking hot. I accidentally turned them on and didn't notice once...the covers were on them and they melted the covers and the plastic protecting mesh and it even cracked the glass housing. I should assume that if the stupid covers weren't on they would've been fine though
