Quote: I'll deff do that trim once i install those lca's.

do the bustwackers or those other ones gain more clearance behind the tire where i need it? i can't tell.
Yes the cut the actual metal about where i traced. a bit more up the flare. But they will open up your fender alot.

There is a guy on here selling a new set for the 4door

I have 4 1/2 inches of lift on my 94 and my 31x11.5x15's rubbed real bad with the 12x15 rims. I had to do a lot of trimming in the front...Tj

I think it's been said a million times but here goes again...
Lifting a Cherokee does not make the wheel wells larger.

Obviously, but they do move the fenders up away from the widest part of the tire which would be the diameter across the center of the wheel parallel to the floor.

You mean just because I install a 4.5" lift doesn't mean I can install some 40" MT's??? Well darn... now I have to rethink the lift idea.... LOL... I wish they had made the Cherokee's fender openings just a little bit larger from the factory...

I assume if you are lifting a rig and putting large tires on it you intend on useing it off road. Assuming offroad is not straight and even terrain the rig will be forced to turn the wheels and have them pushed up into the fenders. Larger tires require trimed fenders.

I'm a HUGE fan of the Sawzall!!!! Chop and cut and remove all of the unnecessary plastic snd sheet. Yeah. CUT CUT CUT.

Sorry, got carried away. But I have chopped plenty on my xj and have not once regretted it. Rolling 265 75 on maybe 3 inches of lift, just need a set of wheel spacers and I will be good to go.

I would put in the adjustable lower arms to push the axle forward a little and get some bumper caps from a pre-96 XJ becuase they are a little shorter and will give you more tire clearance. Then I would trim if I had too... but thats just me

when doing the lower control arms is there anything else that needs to be undone other than the 2 bolts on each lca?
