4x4 Question
So I just did the 4x4 conversion on my 2 Door Cherokee. The Transfer Case seems to go into 2H, 4H, N and 4L with no problems but when I try it out in 4H driving around the neighborhood (or 4L) it drives very rough, like a slight whining noise and barking tires when I turn into the driveway.
I haven't got around to pulling the Transfer Case computer from the parts jeep yet, but not too sure if I even need it.
What are your thoughts on this?

its because you have part time 4wheel drive, its not meant to drive on dry pavement. Since you dont have any diff in your transfer case you get gear binding which causes your problems you're having

If its in 4 hi or lo on pavement it will hop on corners and the howl happens to mine so hopeully someone will know what that is.

btw its not good at all and you should try to avoid using 4wheel drive unless your tires have something to slip on to reduce gear binding, ie snow, gravel, mud. I would stay away from using 4wheel drive in the rain too but thats just me.

ahhh i see, well take it offroad some where, in your yard or down a gravel road will suffice. Just somewhere where you can get up to 15 or 20 mph and see if the sound continues

Hey, another question lol, Do I need to hook up all the other lines from the TC computer? It seems to be working fine, I just have 2 empty plugs on the TC now that it's in my Jeep.
If so I'd have to start hunting down where they are going and where the TC computer is in the parts Jeep. Seems like a pain and I think they are for telling the Jeep it is in 4x4 and showing a light or something on the dash to let you know.
