4WD "Part Time" Light on in 2WD

4WD "Part Time" Light on in 2WD
Hi all, Here is my issue...I've got a 2000 Cherokee Classic with the Selec-Trac 4WD shift lever , when in 2WD the “Part Time” light is always on. Now if I shift into “4Part Time” light remains on. (which makes sense) If I shift down into “4Full Time” “Part Time” light goes out and “Full” light comes on. (Also working correctly) So my question is do I need to replace the sensor on my transfer-case or could this be some other problem?
