i think my vacume lock is bad. but from what ive read my right front should be spinning. but its not. i know i can do the cable mod or ive read that i can put a solid shaft on the passenger side. what years do i take this longer shaft from and what else would need to be done.
and should my right wheel be spinng or not?

On an open diff the power is sent to the wheel with the least traction. If your vac disco shift motor is malfunctioning, then the power will go to the right dise and only the inner shaft will spin. So if the shift motor is bad then your right front will not spin.
