4H grind noise.

4H grind noise.
I'm having this issue here.
Going from 2D, to 4H, to Neutral, to 4L, nothing happens. Everything functions normally. Going back up; 4L, in to Neutral, operates normally. Then from Neutral in to 4H I get a small grind/pinching sound. Almost like the gears are slipping. From 4H, back into 2D, it's normal.
So from Neutral, into 4H, I get the grind.
98 Cherokee Sport. 4.0L auto trans.
I don't know if this is normal, or nothing to be worried about. However if someone can help me trouble shoot this, would be great.
